Language is a natural part of human’s life. Since earliest days of our life we naturally acquire it from our environment. We use it to communicate with others at homes, schools, in the jobplace. By means of language we express our feelings, needs, fight for our rights. Language is a part of our identity, not only national but also the personal one. Nowadays, knowing our mother language is important but the knowledge of foreign languages opens the window to the world. Knowing foreign languages broadens our horizons. Thanks to it, we are able to understand foreigners, work and travel abroad. It is a unique possibility to learn other cultures and worldviews. Language allows us to understand and be understood either by our compatriots or people from foreign countries. With its help it is more possible to understand other people’s intentions, at least in verbal form. Language enables to learn new concepts not only physical but also abstract ones. In foreign languages, there can be more or less accurate words describing an element of the reality that person lives in, so we can learn different point of view dependant on the part of the world in which the person lives. By use of language, we can feel as if we were stepping into other people’s minds, understand better how they feel, what leads them and sometimes influence their way of thinking such as encouraging them to do something in different way. Not only do we use language to communicate on a daily basis but also the language is an essential part of the business. In many jobs, language is used to convey information, set rules and keep order in a jobplace. Employment contracts are made with use of language. Deals with customers or different companies are made while using language. Language enables negotiations and making significant decisions for the company and employees. It concerns not only decisions in national companies but also with international or worldwide ones. Language is a tool which can unite companies or workers of different origins. There are also brands popular around the world thanks to the language. They can have the same names in all the countries or differ in them but they are highly recognisable element in worldwide culture. All things considered, language has a strong bearing on humanity. It accompany as both in daily life and in business matters. Thanks to it, we can understand each other better, learn different cultures and broaden horizons. It allows us to express opinions and stand up for ourselves. Language is meaningful in the process of decision-making both in job and everyday life. Language helps to maintain balance and set rules. It can also help gain a brand worldwide recognisability. As long as a language exists, there will always be any thread of agreement.
