We provide a great variety of language solutions: translation and interpreting services, localisation services, text adaptation and proofreading, copywriting, DTP services, language courses and language audits. As part of our individual business segments, we can offer our clients a truly broad range of language solutions. For example, interpreting during conferences and business meetings or court interpreting, general business and industry-specific translations, standard and certified translations, and many more.
Which industries are your expert focus?
We specialise in many industries, such as finance and banking, construction and engineering, human resources (HR) and payroll, law and the judiciary, agriculture and forestry, machine industry, medicine and pharmacy, manufacturing, marketing and advertising, trade and services, tourism and leisure, state administration, insurance, IT, fashion and art.
Do you provide services to corporate clients only?
No. Although most of our translation requests come from corporate clients, we are happy to work with individual clients as well. In this case, sworn translations are the most popular service. Language courses are also a frequent choice among non-business clients.
Do you do accept large volume projects?
Yes. We can handle any project, regardless of its volume. We agree on delivery dates and methods on the case-by-case basis.
How do you keep my data and information secure?
We never share your documents, information or data with any persons or entities outside Skrivanek. We always follow the “need to know” rule. Your documents are only made available to those who need such access to handle the order. We sign confidentiality agreements with all our vendors. We also strictly comply with the provisions of the GDPR.
How can I order a translation service?
You can send us your file(s) via our online form or by e-mail to get a free quotation, and then accept the cost of the service that we have provided.
How much does the translation cost?
The cost of translation depends on the language, deadline, file format, nature of the document and its subject, or additional services ordered by the Client. Therefore, we provide an individual quotation for each order.
How much will I pay for your translation service?
As a rule, translation is priced based on the number of words in the source document. Individual rates per word depend on the language combination, the number of words in the source document, and other specific aspects of the job (including delivery date, file format(s) or additional services). Please send us your documents, and we will provide you with a free quotation. Please remember that a free quotation is not a binding commitment to work with us.
How much do you charge for a translation service quotation?
Translation service quotations are free.
How much do you charge for delivery of the translation?
The final product is usually sent free of charge by e-mail. At the Client’s request, we can also send the translation in paper. This service is priced individually, depending on the volume of your translation project.
What information should I provide with an order?
We do value all information: on any terminology you use or on the purpose and target audience of the translation. Is the text meant for publication or company use only? It is supposed to convey a marketing or advertising message? Or maybe it is a scholar text? Our work can be facilitated with all background knowledge or reference materials on your product, service or sector.
What format does my source document have to be in?
Electronic format is a preferred one, but we can handle documents in all formats. Thanks to our DTP Department services, including the OCR service, we can handle files in virtually any format, including non-editable documents.
How is my order managed?
Once we accept your order and enter it into our system, a project manager plans all the processes required and transfers documents to appropriate vendors involved in the chain (DTP specialists, translators, proofreaders, reviewers, etc.), coordinating all steps until the very end. The final product is usually sent to the client by e-mail.
When will my order be ready?
We will agree on the delivery date before we start working on your text. In principle, translating 8 standard pages (i.e. pages of 250 words) takes one full working day. We can also ensure an express delivery service on separately agreed conditions.
How long does it take to translate large projects or long texts?
In the case of large projects, we always try to meet the Client’s expectations. Depending on the processes required (translation, DTP processing, proofreading, etc.) and the expected deadline, we are able to set up a dedicated team of translators, DTP professionals and proofreaders who will handle your order. In this way, we are able to guarantee short turnaround times.
Can I order an express delivery service?
Apart from standard delivery, we also offer an express delivery service option. All details are agreed on the case-by-case basis. However, please remember that a shorter deadline means less time for individual processes. What will perfectly suffice for an internal company text is not necessarily recommended in the case of texts for publication, requiring multiple checks and finishing touches. Nevertheless, we always try to deliver your text as soon as possible.
Can my order be late?
As in any industry, delays can happen, but we do our best to provide services on time. Reasons for delays may include bad quality of source documents (illegible scanned copies or handwritten documents), technical issues, or the necessity to find vendors for an unusual language combination. Please remember, however, that delays are an exceptional situation, and we always try to agree a reasonable delivery date with the client.
How will you deliver my translation?
Standard translations are delivered in electronic format, identical to that of the source file (as a Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF document or in any other native format). If necessary, we encrypt or password-protect your files before sending. Certified translations are delivered in electronic format, but a personal collection option is also available.
Are there any texts that you will not translate?
In fact, no. As we work with a wide network of professionals, we can handle even the most unusual projects, including localisation projects – always in compliance with specific instructions provided by the client or settings dictated by software.

To receive a free quotation, simply send us your documents.
Formatting of my document is essential. Can you preserve it in the translation?
Whenever possible, we work with original documents in electronic format, without making any changes to their formatting. However, when necessary, we can guarantee that the translation of the client’s document looks just like the original document owing to our “advanced plus” DTP service.
Can you guarantee for the quality of your translations?

We are strictly committed to confidentiality, and take full responsibility for everything we do: the highest quality of processes and timely delivery of any project, regardless of its volume or complexity.
Is my translation handled by the same person I am communicating with to order the service?

What are translation tools?
Translation support tools (known as Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) software) are, as the name suggests, tools intended to facilitate the translation process. CAT software provides technological support for human translation. It makes it possible to save time and money and ensure a consistent use of terminology. As the translation memory database is constantly expanded, there is no need to translate identical text fragments from scratch, which proves particularly useful in the case of repetitive financial, technical and medical texts, as well as in website and software localisation.
Which documents require sworn translation?
Certified or sworn translation is usually required for documents and certificates which are to submitted to Polish and foreign authorities or law enforcement agencies.
